The Behmor 1600 Coffee roaster needs to be cleaned about ever 5 times that you roast. More frequently if your making very dark roasts. When cleaning the unit, you will wipe down the inside parts of the machine with a rag that has Simple Green on it. Then you will do a Dry Burn where you run the machine through a roasting cycle while it is empty.
These easy steps in keeping the machine clean are not only recommended by the manufacturer, but will help ensure a long life for your coffee roaster. Always clean the chaff out of the machine after each and every roast.
