Update for 2026: Pansies has closed — it’s now “The Garden”
Since I first wrote this back in 2012, Pansies Nursery has closed. The good news for the neighborhood is that the spot at 833 East Cecil Street is once again a garden center: new owners now run it as The Garden, a nursery and specialty grocer that has fittingly brought the location back to its roots — greenery and plants, locally grown produce, and home goods. You can find them online at thegardeninneenah.com or on Facebook. Same address, right here in Neenah.
I’ve kept my original 2012 write-up below as a record of Pansies, and removed a couple of links and an embedded map that no longer work.

Pansies is a small, locally owned nursery just blocks from my home. They offer a great selection of native plants along with assorted annuals and perennials, many of them grown on site in their greenhouses. A number of their plants are started from organic, non-GMO seeds, and they stock a good amount of organic seeds and supplies you can pick up for your own garden. Please keep them in mind for your gardening needs this year.
