Blueberry Picking on August 5, 2016 — Karen and a Perfect Summer Morning

Headed out to pick blueberries in early August, on the 5th, and it was one of the best trips yet. Karen had her yellow sun hat on and was working the rows like a pro — the bushes were loaded with ripe fruit, and it was hard to stop once you got going. Some of the berries were practically falling off the branches on their own.

The farm was beautiful Wisconsin countryside — row after row of blueberry bushes stretching toward a white barn and silo in the distance, with big clouds rolling across a summer sky. We came home well-stocked for smoothies, muffins, pancakes, and just eating them straight out of the container on the drive back.

Have you been there? I'd love to hear your favorite spot.
