The Neenah Lighthouse at Kimberly Point — August 2, 2020

The little lighthouse at Kimberly Point is one of Neenah’s most photographed landmarks, and on the morning of August 2nd, 2020 I went down to take a few shots of my own.

It stands right at the tip of Kimberly Point Park, where Lake Winnebago empties into the Fox River, and it’s been a local landmark for generations. I tried a few different looks here — a couple of golden sunrise versions where the clouds catch fire behind the tower, and a clean shot under a clear blue sky that shows off the white octagonal tower and its pavilion base.
