“This is Bae. He is 5 years old. He is missing one eye and is blind in the other from fighting. He manages to get around very well. He loves his Momma.” Bae is five years old, has one eye, is blind in the other, and manages to get around very well. If that is…
Halloween 2011 was a full house of costumes around here! The whole crew got dressed up, and they were very patient with me and the camera. Akiva as a Chicken Vasco as a Cow Bae as a Unicorn (front) and Hera as a Bumble Bee (back) Our trick-or-treat setup — candy bucket on the table,…
Here’s Bae (left) and Vasco (right) on Christmas morning, dressed up in their holiday sweaters and surrounded by wrapping paper. The boys always got into Christmas morning, especially with presents to investigate.
A look back at our Bae on May 28, 2008. He’s freshly groomed and sitting up on a striped cushion in his green harness. Bae is our rescue boy, and this older photo is a good one of him.
Mealtime at our house. The dogs are big fans of their raw diet, and this video catches the boys digging into raw chicken dinner. They take it seriously — a lot of crunching and not much looking up until the bowls are empty. Raw feeding has worked well for them.
Merry Christmas from the dogs!!! The whole gang got dressed up in their red bandanas and lined up in front of the Christmas tree for the annual holiday portrait — and they were surprisingly cooperative this year. After the photo session it was right back to lounging on their beds, worn out from all that…
Here’s our Bae getting down to serious business with a big raw bone! He’s settled onto his mat in his green harness, gnawing away with total focus. The dogs love a good meaty bone — it’s great for their teeth, it keeps them busy and happy for ages, and Bae in particular savors every single…
Bae sitting up on his dog bed in his green harness, with a bully stick laid out in front of him. He’s a calm, patient dog. You can spot one of his stuffed toys in the background. Bae sitting on the dog bed with a bully stick.
Bae likes to gather up every toy he can find. Here he is tucked into his crate, surrounded by his stuffed animals — a big tan critter, a fuzzy black-and-brown one, and a soccer ball just outside the door. The crate’s his den, and he brings the whole collection in with him. Bae playing with…
Akiva ate about 5 ounces of cooked ground hamburger today. His cod liver oil came and he ate his dose of that as well. I will try feeding him again this evening and see if he wants to eat something. He will get another dose of antibiotics tonight. He got a bag of dried…
Another video of our Shih Tzu boys, Akiva and Vasco. The two of them are best buddies and good for a laugh around here. This one is just more of them being goofy.
