What's a "film look," and why does this run in your browser?
For a hundred years, photographs had a character baked in by the film stock: the creamy warmth of Kodak Portra, the punchy greens of Velvia, the gritty grain of Tri-X, the red glow Cinestill leaves around streetlights at night. Digital photos are cleaner — and a little colder. Film Lab gives that character back, with curated looks plus full manual control over tone, colour, grain, halation, light leaks and borders.
And it does it the right way: your photo is never uploaded. Most "online" photo editors send your picture to a server first. Film Lab grades it with your device's own graphics chip (WebGL), right on this page — turn off your Wi-Fi and it still works. Nothing is stored, nothing is sent, and the look you build is yours.
