Raw Feeding Calculator

How much raw to feed your dog — and the exact 80/10/10 split.

Tell it about your dog and it does the raw-feeder arithmetic for you: the daily amount, the full 80/10/10 split (muscle meat · raw bone · organ) or a BARF mix with veg, scaled to whatever batch you're prepping — plus which bone-in cuts to buy to hit your bone target, shopping weights and a quick cost check. Everything runs right here in your browser. Nothing you type leaves this page.

Saved packs

Keep more than one setup — say “my dogs” and “foster dogs” — and switch between them anytime. Everything stays in this browser.

Use each dog's ideal/target weight if they're slimming down or bulking up. Feeding more than one? Add them and you'll get a combined plan and a single shopping list.

Diet model (whole pack)

Prey-model: 80% muscle meat · 10% raw bone · 10% organ.

🌱 New to raw? A gentle 4-week switch

Going slow lets your dog's gut adjust and makes it easy to spot what agrees with them. If tummies are sensitive, stretch each step over two weeks instead of one.

  1. One easy protein. Start with a single, gentle protein (chicken is the classic). Feed just muscle meat plus your bone-in cut — no organ yet. Keep meals a touch small and watch the stool.
  2. Add liver. If stools are firm, introduce liver in small amounts — it's nutrient-dense and can loosen things if you rush it. Work up to the full 5%.
  3. Add the other organ + a 2nd protein. Bring in kidney or spleen (the other 5%), and start a second protein like turkey or pork for variety.
  4. Round it out. Add oily fish or an egg, rotate in a third protein, and — if you're doing BARF — phase in the veg, seeds and fruit. You're now at the full ratio.

Loose stool usually means you moved too fast or fed too much organ — ease off and let it settle. A slightly firm, smaller stool is the goal.
