“Dylan was rescued from animal control. I went there to bail out my cat Rosebud, and I saw Dylan. It was instant — we belonged to each other. I filled out the application and brought him home on March 10, 2009. He loves to play hand games with Daddy. He is just soooo cute!”
Dylan’s rescue story has the best kind of serendipity at its center: his owner went to animal control for a completely different reason — to get the cat — and there was Dylan, waiting. Instant connection, application filled out, home on March 10, 2009. That date clearly means something to his owner, and it should — it is the day a whole relationship began. Dylan loves hand games with Daddy, he is impossibly cute, and he is the happy accident that happened because someone showed up for their cat and ended up walking out with a dog too. We think Rosebud probably approves. Rescue stories like Dylan’s remind us that the right animals find their way to the right people, sometimes in the most unexpected ways.
