Sugar is our momma. Checkers (the daddy) we lost a year and a half ago, but we have Ty-Li from the second litter and Jack from the third to love. Other family members went to family members. We love them like kids.
Three Shih Tzus, one beautiful family story. Sugar, the matriarch at 11 years old, keeping watch over her kids Ty-Li and Captain Jack, who carry a little piece of their late dad Checkers with them every day. Losing Checkers a year and a half ago must have been heartbreaking, but having Ty-Li and Jack — living reminders of him, each from a different litter — means his spirit lives on in this household in the best possible way. The other pups found homes with other family members, which is just perfect. And now Sugar, Ty-Li, and Captain Jack are together, loved like the kids they truly are. This is what a Shih Tzu family looks like: multiple generations of loyalty, love, and that unmistakable breed sweetness passed down through the years. We are so honored to feature this trio today!
